Privacy notice

This notice covers the locro.it website only. If you already use the Locro application at app.locro.it, the handling of your exam-centre data is governed by your agreement with us rather than by this page.
Who is responsible
Locro is the data controller for the information described here. For anything to do with your data — including all of the requests listed below — write to privacy@locro.it.
What we collect, and why
If you request a free trial
The form asks for your first name, surname and email address, and optionally your phone number. We use these solely to contact you about a Locro trial. We also record the date and time, your IP address and your browser's user-agent string alongside the submission, to detect and block automated abuse of the form.
Our lawful basis is your consent, given when you submit the form. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us, and we will delete your details.
If you request a sales meeting
The form asks for your first name, surname, organisation and email address, your preferred date and optionally a preferred time, and optionally your phone number. We use these solely to arrange and hold the meeting with you. As above, we also record the date and time, your IP address and your browser's user-agent string to detect and block automated abuse.
Our lawful basis is again your consent, given when you submit the form, and you can withdraw it at any time.
When you simply visit the site
Our web server keeps standard access logs — IP address, the page requested, the time, and the user-agent string. These exist to keep the site running and secure, which is our legitimate interest. They are rotated and deleted routinely, and are not used to build any profile of you.
Cookies and local storage
This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind.
There is one exception, and it is not a cookie. If you submit the trial form, we store a
single value in your browser's local storage — locro_trial_signed_up,
or locro_sales_meeting_requested for the meeting form
— so that the page shows a thank-you rather than asking you again on your next visit. It
contains no personal information, is never transmitted to us or anyone else, and exists
only on the device you used. You can remove it by clearing site data for locro.it.
We load no fonts, scripts, images or other content from third-party servers, so no other organisation learns that you visited this page.
Who else sees your data
Nobody. We do not sell, rent or share your details, and there are no advertising or analytics partners involved.
Your details are stored on our own server, hosted by OVH in Montréal, Canada, and a notification email is sent to the Locro team when you submit the form. This means your information is held outside the European Economic Area.
How long we keep it
Trial requests and meeting requests are both deleted 24 months after you submit them, automatically. If you ask us to delete them sooner, we will.
Your rights
Under the UK and EU GDPR you can ask us to:
- tell you what data we hold about you, and give you a copy
- correct anything that is wrong
- delete it
- stop using it, or restrict how we use it
- send it to you, or to someone else, in a portable format
Email privacy@locro.it and we will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to your national data protection authority — in Italy the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, in the UK the Information Commissioner's Office.
Changes
If this notice changes we will update the date at the top of the page.
